Royal Ascot

2 and a half weeks ago Mum, Ben and I went to Royal Ascot.

It was such a fun day, we met up with Greg and Dee, and their friends who we had met at the wedding Mark and Jo.

We all met at Waterloo and got on the train, within a few minutes the prosecco was open and we were having a few glasses.

The weather was amazing, it really turned out for us! We were all dressed up, fascinators and all!

We made our way into the Grandstand Enclosure and found a wee table, and brought a jug of Pimms and more prosecco.
Mum and I worked out who we wanted to bet on and put a few down and had a bite to eat before making our way to the grandstands to find our base.

After a while the queen drove past waving out to us, and the racing commenced. It was such a fun day, I got a bit too drunk for a while there but sorted myself out and kept on enjoying the day.

We were placing more bets, losing on bets, having a lot of laughs and having the best day. We had a great view of the horses coming around the bend and up to the finish- we were all screaming and cheering.
Ive been to Melbourne Cup a few times before but there was something pretty special about Ascot, it was all a bit posh and we fit right in!

I'm glad we got to tick if off the list thats for sure!

We headed back to Waterloo, got mum home safely and headed home- Where going to bed after a long fun day would have been ideal instead of continuing the party into the wee hours.

A few photos for you to enjoy! As you can tell, I was pretty sober towards the end!
