I'm aliveeee!!

This blog is feeling sad, and so am I for the lack of writing, so much has happened in the last month, none of which I have photos of because of my smashed iPhone screen.
Photos inspire me, I love looking back at them and reminiscing the good times had, the words flow and now that's gone as I can’t take photos!

The one thing that sticks out the most is my trip to Holland, I spent the most fantastic long weekend with my bestie in Alkmaar, just out of Amsterdam. If I had pictures to share with you it would tell a story of the fun times we had.
Having spent a year apart, it was an amazing reunion. Filled with laughs, fun, dinners out, shopping trips, yummy breakfasts and the best marshmallows ever.
I got to spend 4 days bonding with little Harry who was only 6 months old when I left. It was so much fun, and exactly what I needed, and left me pining to be at home with my friends and family.
Ben was in Berlin with Nathan the same weekend, and for us to be away from each other only made us miss each other unbearably.

So since being back we have been out with friends but mostly spending quality time with each other.

Now that the weather is getting cooler and winter is approaching we have booked a long weekend away in Spain, before the freeze sets in- just one last warmish holiday.
The cool change this week has brought with it many a third world issue- the size of my wish/ shopping list.

Sorry for being disconnected, without my phone, I haven’t been on Skype and I have missed everyone dearly.
So now I pledge- to get my phone fixed and get back online so I can miss home less and enjoy here more.

Below are a few pics, nothing too exciting but something I can look back at and smile over.

25th Birthday Fun!

Last week was my 25th birthday, quite the mile stone. In my family birthdays are rather special, it’s all a big fuss made about you, to celebrate the day you were born.

Being away from home on birthdays is a bit shit really, but I had a pretty awesome day/ week.

A few days before my birthday I got three little packages from home, with a fair bit of Great British Pounds, so off I went to MAC and M&S to stock up on exciting new things!

On my actual birthday I woke up, and Ben had a present and card for me. The card is always my favourite part.. Ben has just a way with words that sometimes bring me to tears. He also got me a little leather bracelet which is absolutely gorgeous, he also brought me a handbag which arrived on Thursday.

In the afternoon, I received a rather special delivery of a big bunch of flowers and a personalised card from Nicole, and two really cool prints for our bedroom from Annie and Nathan! I really, really love my friends! Also got a delightful chocolate cake from my flat mate Jamee.

After work I met Ben at home and we got ready to go out for dinner, before we left we popped over to the park with a picnic blanket and bottle of Tattinger. It was so lovely to sit in the evening sunshine, winding down from a day of work.
Once we finished the bottle we headed off to re-live the Greek food we loved so much on our holiday, The Real Greek restaurant was tiny, and had such a cool atmosphere! It was a delicious dinner, with delicious wine and great company. After dinner we went for a drink and then wandered through Convent Garden for a spot of people watching.

On Friday night, I had an outdoor space booked at a cocktail bar called Apples and Pears. It was a great night, had my new dress, and my new fringe, and 2 for 1 cocktails. I got a few more presents, a delicious and beautiful looking cake and had such a good night with my friends.. you wouldn’t have known I wasn’t at home- I had brought a bit of home with me!

It was a pretty good night, a pretty huge boozy one, so I spent the whole weekend recovering, now it’s all over but the excitement hasn’t stopped as I am off to Alkmaar (just out of Amsterdam) this weekend to spend the weekend with a best friend of mine! I can’t wait to see Annalise, and spend time with Harry!

25 is shaping up to be a good age, it will be a pretty exciting year!

I have a few pics from the evening, but will add them on later… I need to steal friends photos, so I have a better collection!
